From a workshop
to a group

HEMA GROUP represents a journey from industrial roots to a diversified India–Africa business platform. Built through entrepreneurship, engineering, long-term thinking and disciplined execution, the Group operates across multiple sectors while remaining grounded in the values of family, enterprise, responsibility and enduring value.

The line

  1. 1980s Family industrial roots — ceramic products and camphor manufacturing.
  2. 1980 Hari Kishore Reddy completes his B.Com and begins working alongside his father, G. Lakshmipathi Reddy.
  3. 1991 Uma Maheswar Reddy formally enters the family granite-machinery business.
  4. — The two brothers pioneer water-polishing machinery for granite processing in India.
  5. 2006 Africa entry. A business platform is established in Uganda and mineral water manufacturing begins.
  6. 2007 HEMA Beverages is established; beverage and liquor manufacturing expands.
  7. 2013 Layer poultry operations launch in Malawi.
  8. 2014 Pearl Gate Comforts is established.
  9. 2017 Shri Jyothiraadhitya Infra is founded by both brothers. Zimbabwe diversifies into corn flour, wine and kombucha.
  10. 2018 HEMA Beverages adds high-speed production capability. Stated in one source
  11. 2022 Golden Threshold is launched in Bengaluru.
  12. 2024 Diversification into fresh juice manufacturing.
  13. Today A multi-sector family business group operating across India and Africa.
